my job is .... fluid, shall we say. I can work, take breaks and post, work some more, stop work for an afternoon, catch up at night or over the weekend. If I am working from home I can take an afternoon and sit outside on the back deck and drink sangria while I work. I also spend a LOT of time on planes and in airports...

For instance, right now I am drinking sangria, smoking a cigar and writing developing a process and guideline for when to engage with certain teams.

Tomorrow, I am flying to NY to take some people to dinner.

Homemade??? I had a LOVELY sangria at a tapas bar a few weekends ago. Promised myself I was gonna make some after that and "plum" forgot. Enjoy!

    smoking a cigar

Phewwww! WHY???? Oh, that's right: the "headiness" of it or something like that. To each his own...

Wow. I'm impressed. I mean, I can do without the flight... but I LOVE NYC. And DINNER? Omigosh. Some advice? Stay away from Times Square... and especially "Bubba Gump's" - LOLOLOL! Take your guests somewhere classy... like Appleby's... or Fuddrucker's. No, seriously... like Mel's Brooklyn Pizza... or Ping Wong's Authentic Cantonese in the Bronx... LOLOLOLOLOL!

Have fun, EP, and peace to you!

Yes, homemade sangria. It's delicious. And the cigar ... they aren't for everyone, but they are awesome if you like them.

As far a NY goes...I've been dealing with Wall street banks for the past 10 years or so. This will probably be my 200th trip to NY. I have been there 4 times in the past two months. I was there last week. I like to stay closer down around between 25th and 30th than up around Times Square. We are going to dinner at Dock's Oyster Bar and then to a reception hosted by my company. I would much rather go hang out downtown at the Live Bait bar or in the village or go up to 57th and hit Nobu than go anywhere near Times Square.

And the Bronx? Other than the cab ride to and from La Guardia, I don't think I have ever been out of the city when I was there. Sad, but true. I mean, why I when I have an expense account and Manhattan? I'm not piling 5 guys into a cab and then hauling all the way out to the Bronx (no offense) when there are 20 awesome places to drink and eat within 2 blocks of where we already are in Manhattan.

I was being sarcastic-al, dear EP. I said someplace "classy". Although... you might consider Appleby's and Fuddrucker's "classy." Some folks do, depending on where they live. So, Mel's Pizza, etc., was meant to be a funny, truly. Sorry it didn't go over. Mayhaps that sangria's gone to your head, along with that ceegar...??

    Peace!

no, dear, I got the jokes. There ARE some nice places around times square, the problem is that they are in times square. I didn't get the joke about the cantonese place, a nice place to go in DC is Tony Chengs just a few blocks north of the national mall.

And be careful about the sangria going to my head jokes. people that hear voices shouldn't throw stones.

    A Guest,

I understand what you said about the languages. Didn't intend to ignore or demean your post -- just was overwhelmed with laughter at Entirely Possible's post. Ya gotta admit it was funny.
