I'm very well aware of who Barb Anderson is, I was on these boards when the whole child abuse issue came out. I'm not as "uninformed" as you think I am.

You don't seem to understand where I'm coming from, and frankly, I don't care. Sizemik and others understood me, and I care more for my fellow Australians' opinion than some stranger living half a world away.

BRKOKEN PROMISES- Glad you are a happy guy. I'm thrilled. It's just that Barbara has done a lot of time consuming research with a very good motive for doing it on behalf of abused children. I feel that needs to be respected. It appeared to me you weren't respecting that - and so I replied to you. If I'm wrong about your motives, then I apologize. I hope you have a good weekend. I'm glad your fellow Aussies understand you. Personally I don't care if you respect my opinion or not

If Barb Anderson has the time and inclination to devote years of her life to research on a topic, good for her. But doesn't require anything from me. It's her choice to do what she does. No one's making her do it. And I certainly don't have to "respect/honour/worship" her for being so consumed by the Witnesses and what they do.

How 'bout just being civil or respect not HER but the effort she's put forth to protect children ? Does that somehow threaten YOU and make you a smaller person ? You are correct. To me it's a disrespect as to what she's trying to accomplish. If she didn't agree with the information presented in the news link - she wouldn't have posted it. By the comment on the " hierarchy " you are imputing motives of Barbara or Randy desiring power or rule over others . Which is false. They have no such motive. And you inferring such I consider " uncivil ". So you asked, so I explained

BROKEN PROMISES- I read that quote from Randy as meaning just what he's saying, He and Barb are NOT into sensational stories , they are only into authentic, real, valid stories. THAT is why he said to listen to her- not out of any " authority trip " over anybody. ! That is what I took from that. At face value for what was actually said

Well, the question was what had Barbara "said" when all she had done was post a copy of a news release from a guy whose methods had previously been questioned.

Barbara hadn't "said" anything, yet Randy was impuning that she had said something of note. Referring to "we" was also inferring a heirarchy, whether real or not. In other words, "Listen to US, because we know something!"

In Australian culture (the country from which the news release came and in which the Inquiry is being held) it does sound like Randy is bignoteing himself and Barbara, whether he realises it or not.
