I was flabbergasted the first time I heard the detailed instructions regarding attendance at the General Assembly. When to wear your name tags. Which hotel to register with. Don't buy treats at local convenience stores. Make sure your lunch bag/cooler fits under the seat. Admonitions not to rush and save bundles of seats for friends and family (which are routinely ignored). Clean up after yourself.
Does this sound like religious instruction?
Ok, I've been skimming over the "edumacated" koolaid WT, time to go look at what the kiddie koolaid says...
Remember, we are not people, just TOOLS. And when the tool doesn't accomplish what you need it to do - throw it on the scrap heap. Even if you were trying to make a hammer drill a hole. Some people's personalities and talents are just not appreciated in the Borg. If you can't hammer nails in, that's a problem. Never mind that you are a jigsaw and can outdo a hammer any day.
Can you say "Tab-er-nack-el" ?
LOL,
"Jesus also urged his disciples to ‘keep on seeking first God’s righteousness.’ (Matt. 6:33) This means putting Jehovah’s standard of what is right and what is wrong ahead of human norms. ( Read Isaiah 55:8, 9. ) You may recall that in the past, a number of people were involved in growing tobacco or selling tobacco products, training others in warfare, or producing and selling weapons of war. After coming to a knowledge of the truth, most chose to change their employment and qualify for baptism." (p. 13)
Hypocrites! Anybody remember the "Rand Cam Scandal"?
"The finish line is just ahead. What a pity it would be if we allowed ourselves to be burdened down with unnecessary weights that could impede us when we are so close to the end!"(p. 22)
"We are near the end of our race. The finish line is as good as in sight." (p. 24)
This could just as easily be found in a Zion's Watch Tower from the 1880's...
From the "Marry only in the Lord" section. . they actually had the nerve to ask
What did David do when he felt lonesome
well, we know what David did - with Bathsheba. Great example!
Also, just remember that you're a TOOL being USED to get the work done. Hey, I get it. Say no more!
sd-7 Brilliant!....I think that pretty much sums it up.....
Although I appreciate the insight, I cant understand why you still bother reading the trash. I didnt want to read it when I was in. I dont want to read it now.
