Can someone please post the pdf copy of Mission To Africa booklet? I would imagine many have never heard of it before - I know I didn't. TIA

Thanks to all for this thread, I have read on here (JWN) in the past, some inaccurate info. on this matter, which if said to an active JW would be seized upon by them to ignore the whole issue.
We need to be spot on with what we reveal, or we lose the argument in their eyes.
The pertinent , most damning point, is that they LIED about it all. There is no justification for that in a religion that calls itself the "truth" and supposedly worships a"god of truth".

But what if it's perfomed as an act of "Theocratic Warfare"? They seem to have all bases covered. Creeps!
I wsh the UN had not removed that page - is there any way we can lobby the UN to restore it? It does help to endorse the lies the WTBS tell in defence over the issue. Makes opponents seem nuts!

Archive.org has snapshots of the page. Your Dub now has to argue that some dirty apostate sneaked it onto archive.org

I know I am probably opening up a can of worms, but here is the apologist's take on it. Marvin himself has a link to this website on his blog.

Band on the Run
This is the Internet information age. Certainly, the main reference dept of the NY Public Library with Patience and Fortitude standing guard, roaring at any virgins that walk past 42nd St. and B''way, is one of the world's best. The Library of Congress exists. Within NYC, Columbia, NYU, Fordham, St. John's, CCNY, CUNY and others have very extensive holdings. The benefit of the main library is that no access to the stacks was permitted so they actually had the books in the card catalogue.
I can access the world through the Internet. The CIA prob. has more extensive world info available to the public than the UN itself. The library connection seems far-fetched. The State Department must have library resources, too. Heck, the Upper East Side is the home of the Council on Foreign Relations. Only London or Paris could have such extensive holdings.
So my hunch is that much more than a library card was involved. When I read about the WTS using UN planes to distribute literature I am ready to kick in the wall with rage. It is so unAmerican. The entanglement of a world organization with religion on a grand manner. Principles are nothing to them. I still cling to the religion I believed as a child. They were moral b/c my parents were moral. It was our religion, a special, sacred thing. The Vatican is grasping, too, but the Vatican has long acknowledged and revelled in its power. How do you point "worldly" as something bad (it is the highest compliment tome) and then merge with the beast?
Someone please tell me the details of how this became public. A link or reference to an existing post would be great.

The Guardian article is what first exposed this, I believe.

Thanks so much. I am surprised that such a big name newspaper reported it. Theocratic warfare. Why did Daniel have to go into the lions' den? He could cite theocratic warfare and escape a test. Abraham did not have to leave his tent with Isaac. Most importantly, Jesus could have begged for mercy at Pilate's feet. Theocratic warfare.
CULT.
Legally, people rarely go to prison for their substantive crimes. The Mafia is rarely convicted of murder. My tax prof called it the greedy beagle theory. Once you cheat, it is hard to do it in a subtle manner that no one would detect. People go whole hog. Whole hog gets you convicted on perjury or not paying taxes, the Mafia crime, in chief. I would love to see a common law judge's face when Witnesses argue theocratic warfare before her.
