Touché JUSTINFROMBETHEL! Practically my thoughts exactly.

As a 'true believer' I would have NEVER EVEN ENTERTAINED the idea of coming on a site like this. And yet some do and try to rationalize why this is ok for them, they are special or something. Neat stuff.

Justn+sbc- Well said. CJW- I'll ask again. Imperfect men make mistakes, fair enough. Why, then, does the Governing Body label anyone who disagrees with their understanding of Scripture, as 'apostate' (enemy of Jehovah as jw's define it)? And is their understanding subject to change in the future?

    Now I can see it.

Concerned JW - From what you have said, I would like to summarize what I understand your position to be:

    1. You will not answer whether or not you feel the JW organization is currently making any mistakes. It was a simple yes/no question you refused to answer.

    2. You will not name even one mistake they are currently making, if you feel they are making any at all.

    3. You feel that any mistakes they are making, if they are making any at all, do not matter.

I find #3 to be the most interesting aspect of your position. I may start a new thread about it.

Do I understand your position correctly?

Interestedone- Regarding your query.. Concerned JW Re: A concerned JW wrote"mistakes will happen." posted ~ 2 hours ago (7/28/2011) Post 53 of 58 Since 7/18/2011 "My interest is in showing that mistakes are not the issue since we cannot avoid them as fallible humans. Listing mistakes for your benefit only plays into the assumption that they do matter. All I want to do is show that this is not a biblical way to assess a religion"

Thank you The Quiet One. I want to make sure I am crystal clear on his position. Concerned JW do I understand your position correctly? I don't want to misunderstand you. Please answer yes or no or correct anything that I have misunderstood in my summary.

HUH? By their fruits you will know them? What IS a biblical way to assess a religion if not by their fruits. This thread makes me dizzy sometimes.

Matthew 7:16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

1 Samuel 24:13 As the old saying goes, 'From evildoers come evil deeds,' so my hand will not touch you.
Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right.
Matthew 7:20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Matthew 12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.
Luke 6:43 "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.
Luke 6:44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
James 2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
James 3:12 My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

So CJw according to the bible the mistakes do matter.
