I always liked the base and intro of this one hit wonder.

The flute solo and accompaniment made me like this one, it even sounds good to me today.

Phoebe Snow wrote and sang her only hit and then pretty much ended her career to care for her severely disabled daughter, who lived to be 27. Phoebe learned to sing opera in order to communicate with her daughter, as that was one of the few things that stimulated the disabled girl. After the death of her daughter, Pheobe resumed her career, singing for commercials and the Roseann show. Sadly she died this past April at the age of 60. In a different time and place, Pheobe Snow would've been a mega star.

Although Mazzy Star is still together, Hope Sandoval sings with other alternative bands. As far as I know, this is the only song that became a hit. I love the haunting quality and depth of her voice.

I'm not sure if this was ever hit, but it was featured in the movie "Natural Born Killers". It was originally done by the Velvet Underground in the '60's. The Cowboy Junkies haven't had a lot of commercial success outside of Canada, but I love them!

Love, love, love this song! It reminds me of my mom before she got caught up with the jws.

Cowboy Junkies have made several albums. I have some of them, so I don't think they could be considered a one hit wonder. But I'm not here to argue. My favorite songs are
