PSac, as I suggested earlier, what is the source of your information besides the Bible? You're using a book given to us in its present form by the Catholic Church, who would have been out of business if they couldn't sell their Indulgences. So of course it's going to say there is no reincarnation. You can't even tell us for sure who wrote Hebrews, because it sure as hell wasn't "Paul". Jesus raising Lazarus was an allegory. If it really happened, why didn't any historian write about it? Wouldn't this have created quite a stir?
Doesn't it even raise the slightest red flag for you that Christianity is the only major religion to condemn these philosophies as "heresies"? It does a major disservice to God to say that he would annihilate anyone's spirit forever, whether it be in hell or a state of unconsciousness. There is no crime worthy of such a punishment. The "egos" that cause all suffering are another story altogether, part of the "personality" that does not return.
All of these stories lose their meaning and purpose when they're read literally. It doesn't do us a damn bit of good if some guy raised dead people 2,000 years ago. What's important is that each of us has all we need internally right now to be a "Christ", which is a conscious energy and not a man.
