"Jehovah’sWitnesses do not try to predict when God will destroy the wicked."

Sorry I pressed ENTER on the last topic by mistake. Anyway, in the new December 1st, public edition of the WT, in an article titled "Will the Earth survive 2012?" An actual paragraph says this:

When will this occur? No human knows. “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows,” said Jesus, “neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.” (Mark 13:32) Jehovah’sWitnesses do not try to predict when God will destroy the wicked. Though they are alert to “the sign” of the end and believe that humankind is living in the Biblical “last days,” they cannot know just when “the end” will occur. (Mark 13:4-8, 33; 2 Timothy 3:1) They leave that solely in the hands of their heavenly Father and his Son.

Perhaps this may be the case NOW, after so many failed prophecies. But new recruits who read this are left with the idea that JW's have NEVER attempted to make predictions or prophecies based on the scriptures.

Until I did my research, I never would have realized how much information is withheld from new recruits. Without the internet, many would know next to nothing before coming in.

    "...destroy the wicked."

LOL. Who talks like that, honestly? Douchebags.

And, yes, the WTS counts on its adherents having VERY short memories.

They insist they dont try to predict when the end is coming, but at conventions and meetings, all you hear is: "ITS SOOOO CLOSE BROTHERS! CLOSER NOW THAN ITS EVER BEEN!" Is that itself not a prediction of the end?

I notice it's in the public edition. A PR exercise for those that do not know much about JWs. It's an attempt to look credible and nicey nicey.

Meanwhile in the need to know basis only editions we have the 'mentally diseased' 'apostates' and how the antitypical 'Jehus' should kill 'apostates' but not really *wink wink*...shhhhhh, the WBT$ is hinting that it's OK to kill 'apostates' really but on your own head be it as they printed a get out clause.

Oh, well, stay alive in '75........2075 that is, when Joe Hoover will send anti-matter from Alcyone to lovingly murder us.

    How happifying!

Aside from when the real issue is their harping on the idea that the ones who are not highly motivated jw's will be destroyed by that ever loving terrorist god in very terrible ways .

    a very crazy message

Well perhaps the GB don't care because they've put things in motion to take it out of Joe Hoover's hands.

They'll start by letting the 'Jehu' elders kill all the 'apostates'.

Then they'll use the weapons RandCam has developed using their money and blow Earth to smithereens!

I hear talk like this constantly... from patriots. Another form of idiocracy.

    We are all one.

ah yes the selective memory of JW's. Most of the ones I know are long term JW's. Born in and in their 40-50's. I can't believe that they can't recall all the failed dates and screwy rumours. How can a born in who's been reading these mags for 40 years buy this crap?

Rather silly statement to make - when you consider that the JWs are still the reigning kings of 20th and 21st century false prophecy about the end.
