When I was baptized and said "yes" to the second question, I believed it to mean I am committing myself to treat the other "members" as my family now. What I have understood from the posts is that most still believe we are family. So then the only way to no longer be one of Jehovah's Witnesses is to deny that Jehovah is God.

The name Jehovah is a translation mistake made by a 14th century Catholic monk..

I have no idea if there is a God..But..

I`m sure his name is`nt a Catholic Translation mistake..

Little sigh. Jehovah the NAME means the "I AM". So I think it matters not how The Name sounds. We are talking philosophy , are we not? Am I on the wrong forum?

Your talking about a name that is a Recognised Translation Mistake..

Fred Franz knew it when he inserted into the WBT$/NWT Bible..

    He liked the name..

He considered it the most popular translation..

Accuracy didn`t count much for him..

BOOKMARKING - I've been working on a thread like this for a while and will respond later when I gather my thoughts. That may take a while as some days they are rather scattered! ...

    WhaHappened..

    Good morning!..

If people want to believe in God thats fine with me..

    But..

It doesn`t change the Fact the Name Jehovah is a Translation Mistake made by a 14th Century Catholic monk..

For the WBT$ to embrace the Name is Hilarious..

The WBT$ wouldn`t have a name for their JW Religion without the Catholics

Also those JWs who aren't of the "anointed" are said to be of the "great crowd". But membership in the great crowd is defined as participation in an eschatological event (the Great Tribulation) that hasn't even happened yet! Hence technically such people are called "prospective members of the great crowd" sometimes in the literature.

Which Organization does one become a member of at baptism that they can be expelled from for not following Organizational rules?

    The Watchtower Publishing House.

    YOUR FIRED

The Executive Directors have decided your behavior and actions are not in step with the companies code of conduct and regulations.

The law says that association or membership is voluntary, therefore the Organization has the right to expel and shun someone for not following the guidelines expected of members.

Is it truly voluntary when a child is purposely indoctrinated by this organization at a very early stage in life ?

The WTS has created its own edict to publicly announce that a person who had been associated with this faith is no longer a member,

they are dispelled and are not to be talked to or associated with by the rest of the members of the faith.

There are even imposing threats on to people who do talk and associate with these ones.

Since the WTS. religious doctrines are so embellished with fraudulent interpretation, exploited with intent on commercial appeal,

there eventually had to be a created ruling set of laws, placed upon its membership. Particularly on opposers to their set doctrines.
