I don't need to call the Watchtower Society if someone molested my child. I would call the police.

If the society advised the rank and file to go to the authorities when cases of child molestation surfaced, then there would be no need for Dateline to expose the watchtower on this issue. You might go to the police, but most loyal jws wouldn't. Then again, most loyal jws don't post here.

I have talked with my mother about this...she was molested by her father. I pointed her to the silentlambs.com web site.
She just called me after I posted my thread on blood. I thought she was calling me on this...no she was calling on the molestation stuff. She said anyone who would go to an elder on something like this is stupid.
She does not want to believe it or say the elders are covering for a molester. She is blaming the victim. I am still on the phone with her and I amazed by her cavalier attitude.
She keeps insisting that no smart JW would go to the elders on a matter regarding anything but spiritual health or a ride to the congregation. She honestly said that!
We debated this for two hours now. I just got off the phone.
She is a staunch JW and seemingly will blame the victim, even though she was one. I am amazed!

LB, you are so right! They will think that we are in the last moments. But I was reading something by them the other day that explained that FIRST Christendom would be attacked and then God's true Religion would. Now what I find interesting about this is from what I can see they seemed to, in their words, being attacked by Apostates AT THE SAME TIME that so called Christendom is being attacked. How can they get around that timing? I'm sure they will in their round robin way. But what they are totally ignoring is that they too are part and parcel of Christendom. They spit out that word almost with as much vehemence as they do the word Apostate. But according to the Dictionary all that claim to be Christian are part of Christendom. I can't wait to see Dateline and the fallout.
Imagine a young child suffering from abuse, say under the age of 10, that has been programmed to believe that the WT is Gods organization, reporting it to anyone!
The problem is the PHONEY self-image the Borg tries to project to their sad little sheep & the world.

How informed is she on JW policy? Has she seen the Elders manuals, all the watchtower quotes on what to do if you suspect such.
To not go to the elders would bring her trouble once they found out she bypassed them. (that goes for Fred Hall too)
Sounds as though she does not understand true Jw policy or she dosen't care.
That's the problem. Many say they do what they feel is right regardless of what the society says which goes entirally agaist the belief that they should follow the SLAVE directed by Jehovah.
