I have mixed feelings about Friday. I could accept the consultant's advice and have 6 months of good health, but with a nagging concern that a scondary tumour is growing untreated - or - I can make a case to the onco why he should make me feel very ill with chemo just in case.
I think I need to test the case for an aggressive approach and see what he says.
Cofty: I am not looking forward to the prospect of more treatment but I hate the thought of it being diagnosed in 6 months time when it could be treated now.
That is a dilemma. But it seems to make more sense to treat it now.

I like the idea of getting the onco's advice. I feel my dad's new onco was not agressive enough after his surgery. In retrospect I wish we had stayed with the first onco who was very agressive.
But who knows right? It's all in your gut feelings. I fully believe that. My gut feelinfgs lead my husband to the Mayo Clinic. On the surface, local Drs were feeling like I was overreacting. But after we went, we know for sure I was not.
Fingers crossed Crofty. I think the fact that your actively involving yourself in the process and exercising some control over it is a good thing.

with regards to this new finding in the lungs, what is the size of it? any chance they can do a biopsy?

I have 3 freinds that are all just recently in remission after aggressive chemo. I know it must suck but if you are up for the fight you must attack it now!
