My CT scans show no other secondaries anywhere but since there was one it means that at least one cell escaped, probably via the lymph system, so there may be others.
The dilemma is whether chemo would improve the chances or not. Apparently there are no big studies on single lung metastases. Secondaries in the liver are far more common.
Wow cofty big dilema. I hope you can make a choice with confidence and surity. It's sounds like you are in a bit of a pickle. I have no advice to give, I don't know enough about it. I wish all your family the best during this difficult time, I wish I could remove this dilema you are in. We are rooting for you cofty

Maybe, knowing your past reaction to chemo, the doctor can prescribe meds to support your heart/aorta while you take the chemo? Anyway, wishing you the best outcome.

Cofty - if I've read this somewhere know you're up to date how chemo in lower/tolerable dosages has proved to be just as successful while controlling your spasms w/other med? - sounds like you're healthy enough!

I don't know if they have made it to the UK, but here in the U.S. there are some new drugs ( EGFR inhibitors) that have a significant success rate without many of the negative symptoms of chemo. Don't know your exact situation, but might be worth a look. Best of luck with your treatment choices!
Cofty - think about checking out the cancer clinic in Houston. Europeans stay alive and use that great treatment center.
