I posted on another thread that I was told by an elder who had connections with all the right folks and all that- the Gre*nl**s story was true. The elder who told me this was himself gay and married ( technically I guess BI but preferred guys ) and he had managed to stay in excellent standing until he died. I was not entirely shocked. The hypocrisy is just so bad. They just destroy others lives , esp the sisters and some GB member is f****** a bethelite and not df'd and great pain taken to protect him. It just sickened me. I did however sort of like this elder b/c it was hilarious when you think about them saying Jehovah's spirit runs all this. If it does then they had a Gay/BI elder who slept with a lot of folks - and got away with it all. It is extreme hypocrisy but I can't help but admire that sort of intelligence.

I remember a morning worship at Patterson when LO$&H gave the family a talk on Gen 3:16...This was talking about how a woman's craving would be for her husband (sexually); and that if a woman's craving would go beyond and could include craving for other men sexually....all of the women on my crew were so mad that the next morning (i think it was on a wednesday) he had to retract some of his statements from the morning worhip of Tuesday.
Lo$&h also told the family at one morning worship that american football was too violent and said they resembled the roman gladiators in the arena and we should not be watching them.
I too was a viticm of a theif who stole my entire months reimbursement...thats when they would give out cash at the first of the month.
Sooo many things come back to mind when I think about my days at Bethell

I remember the general disdain for females at Bethel by the old hard core crowd. As if somehow if a female (even married) was alone with you for 5 minutes she would sexually assault you or vise versa.
When I had strange hours, and lived in a huge 5 person room (flat), the house keeper would RUN out of the room if anyone came by to pick-up something.
After she and her husband got to know us she and a few other housekeepers would stop by for tea/coffee during the day, but housekeepers always acted if they stopped for five minutes they would get "busted". LOL.

hahahaha! that is so funny! When it comes to anything sexual, Bethel is so screwed up. Losch telling everyone about a woman's "sexual craving" was awesome. Really? I suppose their point was, we’re going to tell you what you did wrong and we’re going to let you decide to do the right thing...or else! What would have happened next had you not done the right thing and hid them? Seriously, you had a few options. You could have sent them home, or to someone else, to hold for you while you were away...or you could have destroyed the albums and burned the jacket...or you could have kept the albums and burned the jacket. If it was the images only, would they have objected to the albums? Anyway, as the Chad Mitchell Trio noted: “If Mommy is a Commie, then you’ve got to turn her in!”
BTW, did the cleaning crews have the authority to snoop on residents? When you signed whatever agreement you signed, did you surrender your rights to privacy? What if you’d had a safe, would they have objected to that?

Which brings up a thought. What happens if someone honestly questions the church at Bethel? Also, if you see GB members in a library, the lunch room or in the hallway, are you free to speak to them or are you told not to speak to them? In some companies or corporations, you’re told not to even make eye contact with top executives. But let’s say one speaks to you first and then you ask, “By the way, Brother Jones, anciently the Lord spoke through apostles via the Holy Spirit. Is the church still led that way in our time? Even though there are no more apostles, we do have a General Body. Do they have the same sort of inspiration as the ancient apostles?”
Would you be disciplined or would the brother try to explain the answer? In short, how large was the rift between the rank and file employee or volunteer and the upper crust?

This is an amazing story. A man who commits adultery and then isn’t “cut off,” or excommunicated. Especially when he finds solace in the arms of a married woman! Add to that that you have no input into the case makes it even worse. Did they attempt to take any action against you, and what kind of divorcement agreement did you make? Did the church decide your alimony or did you go before a civil judge?
