Surely the whole point of being brainwashed is that you're not aware of the fact that you are being brainwashed at the time? Have I missed something?! I very much doubt that someone in the process of being succesfully brainwashed would, when questioned on the issue, say:
"Darn it, you're right - how silly of me! There I go again. Me and my stoopid susceptibility to brainwashing leading me astray...."
