There are five or six Gideon type projects in MANHATTAN. American Bible Society is one.

What if someone reads the Bible before the WT lit. It could raise wonky problems for the Witnesses. The text is what liberated me. Most people in Manhattan are highly literature. Manhattan is the least likely of all American cities to fall for WT fallalcies.

I don't get it. Why wait until they LEAVE to do this? They always had a ton of elderly & injured Bethelites, to do street work if it was all that important to them- only a 5 min. subway ride away. Humm....... I agree it is to save $$ for the move up-state. Old lit is HEAVY. We inherited a bunch. It was so heavy it bottomed out the springs on my pick-up truck. Took 3 trips!!!! 1/2 ton per trip.

Actually "The Manhattan Project" is a perfect moniker. The WT is facing its own internal Armageddon and won't be around much longer - not in its current form, anyways. The GB might as well learn the lyrics to "The End" by The Doors, they'll be humming the tune soon enough. Speaking of which... wasn't Manhattan Island bought for a song?

The WBT$ is trying to distance themselves from what they say is an individual JW Project..

    If it works..

The WBT$ will give JW`s more individual projects..And

The WBT$ can wash their hands of any future JW legal problems..

    "It wasn`t us..It was the JW`s"..

    ..................;-)...OUTLAW

    Outlaw,

I'm wondering if this abrogation of responsibility is not the biggest news. When did they ever care about Bibles anyway. This way the Society has far fewer legal problems.

I agree this is the real story here.

Remember the days they went all the way to the supreme court over refusing to obtain a licence to preach, now they pass the buck to the individual and demand they get all required documents.

Not representing the organisation - what a joke!
