stillin, I would think that eating pumpkin pie is too close, eating turkey is too close, eating cranberries is too close especially if it is around the third week of November in the US.

Have to laugh, we are having friends over for a big meal, originally going to be a turkey dinner but after my wife talked to her study sister we are having a standing rib roast ( which I will prefer). Have a happy thanksgiving.

The Two faced attitude of witlesses is summed up in what a friend of mine did.
All year she didnt take part in birthdays or other celebrations at her job.
At Christmas, everybody else got their bonus, but the boss said that she had made it clear she did not want to participate as she believes it is a pagan custom.
So I wont give you a bonus, and as you never contributed to the gift funds, youre getting nothing out of that either.
She claimed she was PERSECUTED, and handed in her notice.....
Oh, well...
