On another site, there were listed some WT considerations, around 2001 or so, for abused sisters to consider leaving their husbands. They tried a bit of a flip, but probably to their disdain.
I am wondering during last 10 yrs or so, probably the GB are finding when these women decide to go to spousal abuse organizations and get the help they need and leave their abusive husband that the women get stronger. They become aware of their strengths and energies. For sure, living with abuse, one will only get weaker, often with depression.
Then, these gals learn not to let people put them down. As they grow as a person, they then will not feel the need nor purpose to be so subjective to elders either. Then, the GB/elders feel they can't control the gals/eventual single sisters anymore. Once these gals experience freedom, then they just keep going with it, right on out of the organization.
So, now the GB have now gone for the 'flop' back, harder than ever. There was a flip-flop like this about the college issue. They lightened up but came back in reverse about it.
