One of the few Christmas songs that I don't grow tired of. (He COULD have done it without Yoko, Damn)

Yes, sans Yoko. Smile. The sad part is he was so co-dependent he did not think so. I stared her down in the park --she returned the stare. It was so not expected that I averted my eyes first. She just stared back at me. It was spooky. I have some admiration for her after that encounter.

I think Yoko is fine, but man her singing/chanting, painful.

Wow, takes me back. Some of my best memories growing up involved my best friend and our passion for all things Beatle. Screaming our lungs out at the theater playing "Hard Days NIght". Playing their albums thousands of times (at her house. my parents -too strict). Knowing I was going to marry Ringo. I know, I know, he was already married but we were 12. haha
Thanks for the vids

I posted this a little while back but got little response. I know Lennon was born in '40 and would have been 12-13 in '53, I was intrigued by the idea that the Watchtower quoted a boy named John Lennon. Here is my previous post:
The Watchtower of 3/1/1953, p. 151 carried this short blurb:
Heard of Bible or
Never
God
Ten-year-old John Lennon was called to the witness stand [in Middlesbrough, England] to give evidence in an auto case. When the boy placed his hand on the Bible to take an oath that he would testify only the truth, the judge asked him if he knew what book he was swearing on. “No,” John answered. “Have you ever heard of the Bible?” “No.” “Have you ever heard of God?” “No.” The judge heard the evidence without the oath.—U. P. report in Chicago Sun-Times, May 23.
What's the chance this was the real John Lennon?
Anyone ever heard of this?
Given the WT history of misquoting sources, the time discrepancy doesn't bother me. It sounds like something he would have said.

My YOuTube posting skills are not great. One of my favorite all time Lennon songs is You've Got to Hide YOur Love Away. I believe it is part of Help!
One of my favorite Beatles photos is when they are all dressed in white tails and climb down a musical type staircase. It is from Magical Mystery Tour. I saw it at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. It got such awful reviews when It aired on Boxer Day in Britain that there was limited released in the U.S. There are some wonderful videos in it --isolated videos. It was Paul's idea.

DROPOFFYOURKEYLEE- Very interesting quote on John Lennon in the courts. I doubt it was the same John Lennon, but you never know. Thanks for posting that.
Here's another of my Lennon favorites :
