I did not like the avante garde ones or the post Revolver and Rubber Soul ones. Until he died, the early Beatles work sent me into smiles and delight. I was one of the early teen girls screeching my head off b/c my friends were doing it and seemed to be fun. So years pass and now I see the sheer genius of the more complex songs. My all time least favorite was REvolution NO. 9. I am stunned by how the music endures.
Also, I vividly recall when Double Fantasy was released. All the djs said it was atrocious and it was not worth the long wait. Next, he was murdered and the reviews made Double Fantasy a sacred work overnight.
BTTT, Peace out, Mr. Flipper
I read recently that Lennon was confirmed in the CoE and sang in the local choir of his own volition. There are rumors that Ringo is born-again now which are not as shocking as Bob Dylan's phase. George was very anti Roman Catholic. I know some Christians who change "Imagine there is no heaven," to Imagine there is a heaven but that is so out of character.
I know for a fact that the Anglican Cathedral in Manhattan offered Yoko the venue for a funeral but she refused. The memorial services were much more poignant than a regular funeral would have been.
