    Thank you sd-7, well written!

Elderette: "It is better to be wrong with the Watchtower organisation than right on your own".

Circuit Overseer: "If it is not in harmony with divine teaching, it is teaching of demons" (quoting 1993 Divine Teaching District convention).

Elderette + Circuit Overseer: "It is better to eat at the table of demons with the Watchtower organisation, than at Jehovah's table on your own".

    Excellent O.P SD7 !!!

I also love Heaven's answer, especially if you only have amoment of the J.W's time , her answer, "Go Home"

Home is where you feel safe, happy, warm, well fed, no one (hopefully) is lying to you, wanting to dip into your wallet, or decieving you by witholding information etc etc

Does that really sound like the WT ?

    Go Home, good advice.

I am really enjoying these posts. Thanks sd-7, and GL tirebiter.

I would think you're more likely to succeed if you find the true God first and go from there.

    Yes. Exactly.

Who is the true God? He is the God who rescued me from the cult when I accepted Him as my only mediator. He is the God who actively helps me when I ask. He is the God who keeps his promises as I have seen through my own experience. (Mark 10:29) He is the God I love.

I prayed to the God of the Bible when my mother was dying of bone cancer, I prayed when her pain was beyond the help of morphine and pharmaceutical grade opium, I prayed when they tried to sever her spinal cord to relieve the pain. No answers came from the great God of the Bible. Relief came when my father overinjected her with opium and stopped her heart mercifully.

I left that god for a more purposeful life.

I once read, "No one has ever read the Bible, come to the JW set of doctrines, and then set out to find a group that shares those beliefs." This is true because it is impossible to come to the JW set of doctrines by reading the Bible alone.

"Jehovah's Organization"? Who says he actually has one? Oh ya, the "Organization".

Fair point extractor - it's all because the Org says so

The question " To whom shall we go ? You have the words of eternal life" was asked of Jesus himself, by Simon Peter, not to an organization.

Witnesses flip this around to say "where else is there to go" and the Watchtower would have you believe that leaving them is the same as leaving Jesus himself and the prospect of eternal life.
