The lawyer is probably a local brother who sees an opportunity to hook up with a sister. You know how slim pickens were in the KH.

In many jurisdictions, attorneys are not allowed to have sex with a client. It could get them disbarred.
A JW wife with a JW lawyer in a divorce. The theocratic warfare shit will be hitting the fan hard. I feel for you, Oompa. The kids will come around.

Oompa!!! I went through a divorce already ... the proceedings are very emotional but from personal experience... get what by law belongs to you no more ... get a lawyer if you can afford one ... if you still read the bible ... read the books of Proverbs if not go to tiny budda website ... it has lots of articles on letting go ... listen to the Judge's advise ... I was mad at mine for the comments he made while we were at his Court, EVERYTHING HE SAID CAME TRUE ... Judges that are not bias know a lot, they handle hundreds of divorces ... also listen to your lawyer, they also know best and there are certain things that you may want and figh for right now but they will only come back to bite you ... so listen to the experts ... during my divorce I felt violated, used, I thought my ex was getting by easy ... 10 years later I feel stupid for feeling that way and knowing that my lawyer and the judge were right and wanted the best for me ... abide by the law ... I know it is hard, it is emotionally charged to the millionth degree but read as much as you can about the emotional part of the divorce and how not to let your emotions get the best of the situation ... peace of mind is priceless ... and like I say if you don't believe in a Higher Power to help you fight your battles ... go to Tiny Buddha website ... also make sure your lawyer knows of how the Watchtower coaches their people in this situation ...

First - stop posting details of your personal life on this forum - which she or her lawyer (JW or not) may be able to read.
Second - get yourself a divorce lawyer, if you have not already done so.
Third - as to her getting a JW lawyer... well... if that is true, you may be able to come out of this divorce better than if the lawyer wasn't a JW. Just sayin...

The only thing I can advise you is to be honest. I know that you have been thinking about a divorce as long as I have known you - 4 plus years. She was a fun black hole, blah blah blah. You came on this board and felt sorry for yourself, and I bought in to try to help you. In the end, you were just trying to get a following. Some women went along with you down this road, and thought they could help you in their own way. You took advantage of that situation. They eventually gave up on you, as I did.
After all of our conversations, it became apparent that you are most concerned about how much money you will get from this divorce, and that your penis will be tickled to your hearts content.
Your wife has evidence of some of your infidelity. The itinerary to Kansas City is damning! That will hurt you in court. There is more available if she peruses your posts here. You are not even smart enough to put them in the private section here! My main suggestion to you is to man up, and be honest about where all the money is. She is lawyered up, and she will find out if you have been hiding money offshore. I know that she came into the marriage with significant funds, and you should not be ripping her off.
She worked hard to build your business, much harder than you, and should not be treated as just an employee as you have mentioned in past threads. Eric, man up and give her what she deserves, and go on about your life.
As for her having a JW lawyer, it really doesn't matter. You have "flucked" yourself.
Do not be a lying bastard! That would make me think less of you, and that is a real hard thing for you to do.
Try to stop feeling like a martyr. That shit gets old! You brought all of this upon yourself. I wish you all of the best in the future, if you can finally pull your head out of your ass. You were begging to get either DFed or DAed for years. You finallly accomplished it, and of course, felt sorry for yourself.
As for the majority of your employees being JW's, you should have thought of that years ago. Try to change the situation if it is not too late.

Oompa, do you and your attorney have the Watchtower's secret child custody packet? It lays out the Borg attorney gameplan for divorce and custody court cases. You NEED IT in order to know what their strategy is going to be.
As for the JW lawyer. There are JW lawyers all over the place because JWs and the Borg are in court all over the place. They don't work exclusively for JWs - there isn't THAT much JW work - but if they are known in a city or region many of the JWs will go to them instead of a 'worldly' attorney. As for fees, these are attorneys we're talking about here. They charge what they charge.
