  This moves me I tried to find the version where he stands up to play and then jumps on the piano, ( I know it exists b/c I remember the original) but could not find that one on you tube. this is from Bandstand and it is not bad.

  Vi, I found the 45 for this in my grandparents' attic. My uncle Pete had bought it when he was a teenager. I took it home and listened to it and it just blew me away. It was the early 70s. I love the movie with Dennis Quaid playing Jerry. I particularly love the scene when he backs the girls up with his piano.

  May seem silly, but this song moved me from the 'get-go', when I heard it playing on my friend's stereo ... it was me, as a teen, wanting to escape and be 'normal'.
