  this is a random email from a brother or sister and is not an organizational statement.

  That said, it does show the mindset of the the cults members.

  Point taken. Not an official WT document.

  But - It is enough for me to criticize how this shit was written. Whether from the president of the WTS or just an elder who has family there... this is the mental state of a typical JW.

  Praise Jehovah that "only" a few died, most JWs were spared. But no compassion or feeling for thousands of other human beings that died.

  It's shit no matter who wrote it.

  Once again Jehovah has spared most of his people from the worst effects of a calamity! With so many deaths in the region all

  of our brothers except three have survived with their lives and not much else.

  It's a lesson for us to put our trust in Jehovah.. and to follow direction!

  Those 3 died because they didn`t follow direction..

  They didn`t do enough for the WBT$..

  So Jehovah let them drown..

  I wish I went in the FS more often..

  This reminds me of when there was a earthquake in another country recently,and the Witnesses had another e-mail going around,saying the only Witnesses who died were young Witnesses attending college. It kind of insinuated that if they followed the counsel of the GB,by not going to college,they would have survived,putting more blame on the victim.

  Evidence that Jehovah(TM) is getting impatient with all this 'overlapping'(TM) crap that he's decided to kill a few off now. Why wait until the GB let him out of his cage to murder everyone SOON!!

  Thanks for your comforting reassurances they really helped us get by. We finally got in touch with our youngest son in the Phillippines and he's OK. He was on some island where phone service was pretty sketchy. He's back in Batangas and having a good time. Now if he can manage to get through their crazy New Years celebration with it's unregulated fireworks and explosives, we'll rest a little easier. He's a very sensible guy but left the Org along with us and is making up for lost time in terms of having life experiences. We have thoroughly warned him about still being somewhat naive and trusting after growing up JW and to go easy and be smart.

  Via Satellite, I could hear him rolling his eyes....(once a Dad....always a Dad)
