When are we going to hear those JC tapes on the web?!

POD - too bad at the time they (her and parents) were trying to be good little JWs and would have never considered taping the proceedings. I bet they wish they had those tapes now ... (a little lawsuit might be nice eh?)
Oh, and even though she was beyond repentant - and on anti-depressants (yes she suffers alot of problems) none of that mattered - she got the big DF axe anyway. The other people involved (family to elders in next town's KH) all got public reproof. How's that for justice?
Don't feed the troll, folks.

Howdy Dutchess,
Welcome to our open forum - most posters are here because we want to learn, share, argue, joke around - and perhaps help once in a while - or be helped.
And then there are the idiots..........who are just stupid idiots. Please feel free to ignore them - they tend to go away if deprived of attention.
My daughter, married, was asked not to sit in the 4th row at the convention because she had a straight skirt on, and when she crossed her legs......they speaker felt she might have a *negative* affect on the brothers on the stage.
She's a beauty (I'm prejudiced too), and none of us felt her dress was too short. Just stupid rules, rules, rules, rules.
Welcome to our forum - hope you stick around.

You are pathetic, JanH. You belong in a dark, gray, country with smelly cheeses! Get a haircut, you faggot!

First of all, welcome to the board. Please pay no attention to the trolls; most of us are very understanding and compassionate. POD is one of those trolls who don't even deserve the courtesy of a reply.
I had something similar happen to me when I was 22 years old. I always dressed modestly, "proper" length hemlines and not too low necklines etc. however this one Sunday after a district convention a newly baptized man (he'd been dunked a whole week!) came up to me after the meeting and said "Don't you think your dress is too revealing?" in an obvious attempt to try out his new "JW" brand of male superiority.
I just looked at him square in the eyes and said "Well, my husband doesn't seem to think so, maybe you should take it up with him instead. I'm sure he and Brother Elder will be very happy to discuss with you why you're looking at me in a way that makes you think of me with my clothes off. Let's go find them, shall we??"
After the shocked look wore off, he tucked his tail between his legs and found someone else to harrass. He never ever bothered me again!
Love, Scully
Hi Dutchy,
I remember when one of my daughters was a teen ager, late teens. The styles at that time were mini-skirts and micromini- skirts, then maxi-skirts and dresses started. My daughter really liked fashions so she wore a maxi-dress to the meeting. It seems hard to believe but the elders were upset with her for wearing that. They are nuts!

Hey borgfree,
Memories! My daughter & another sister (in her 30's) were counseled for wearing the long dresses which were in style. "Too worldly" looking.
I knew the counseling elder and asked him what was the proper look - to just be out of fashion? Stupidly, manly, Elderly, his City Overseer response was: "Yes."
