I’m afraid this is one of the rare times I find myself in full agreement with the Elders. Your daughter is an obvious distraction and should not come to the meetings dressed the way she is. And further, it is your responsibility to insure she never does this wicked thing again.

The obvious solution is that she should remain home from the meeting. Sorry, but it must be done. And you better stay home too and make sure she is not sneaking off to the hall when you are not looking.

Follow the direction of the Elders, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE HALL!

Welcome to our pub, Dutchy - great to have you here. Unfortunately this is the typical way of the "Happiest People In The World" to show how absolutely fucked up they are. As you said, instead of being happy because someone returned, they were more eager to show you they were in control, and wanted to tell you right away you "shouldn't believe you're worth anything".

The answer is no. It would have been better to have not gone to the kingdom hall in the first place. If anything, I would thank that elder for perminantly saving your daughter from the degredation of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. There is nothing wrong with medium to high hem lines and anyone who tells you otherwise has an agenda.

My missis had the same treatment back in the 60's ,I hoped that things were more sensible now. But no, these elders just shoot themselves in the foot by stupid comments that reveal them to be the Pharisees that we suspected them to be.

At least you can take the hint now without wasting any more time. Leave now..It's not true anyway!

There was a pioneer sister in my hall, who used to offer to sew in material for the teenage girls dresses, so they wouldn't be so low cut. (How sweet of her...not)

The worst case I saw was at an assembly. An overweight, diabetic, depressed sister from my hall was approached by a sister that she didn't even know that told her that she needed to put a blanket or a sweater over her legs because when people were walking up the stairs to their seats they could see up her dress. The sister from my hall was mortified and cried the rest of the assembly. I felt so bad for her. I know for a fact that you couldn't see anything but her legs, so I thought it was totally rude for that sister to say something to her. What a bitch!!
