Nope! Learned it in school, way back in the 70s. Makes sense to me! I have browsed "Origin of Species", too, and it's a fascinating book.

N. Drew. I don't love evolution, any more than I love photosynthesis or string theory.
It's just science, which I love to learn about because I am a sponge and education, for me, is fun.
And argue with someone who has faith? That's impossible, because faith is based on strong belief in a higher power. To each her own, and let the chips fall where they may. If I'm wrong, then the big guy in the sky will know that His golden rule was followed by me,,, just because it is the right thing to do. I don't need Him to tell me that, and that's what I told him when last I prayed (about 30-some years ago).

I said it isnt one for debate but for signposting. As for others, please dont antagonise them in this thread, I really would like this to be a place people can come to know where to look for the info themselves.
The greatest show on earth is a great place to start but I would be weary to promote that to people with faith as it is flavoured with anti-creation language (Tec and N.Drew not an invite for you to moan, Dawkins doesnt like religion, get over it)... so If anyone wants straight up facts may I suggest...
Campbell and Reece : Biology 9th ed, should be availabe at your local library. The chapters on DNA and evolution changed my life, but you can plough through this textbook suprisingly fast. This is the cleanest, smartest way to develop your knowlege on the subject.

HEY, ZIDDY, Volcano Goddess --- what about Exodus 19: 16-19? I'm looking it up (as soon as I can find time today/tonite) and jus letting you know that all scripture is inspired of God (quit gagging). I'll let you know if I need you to explain Exodus to me or whatever you're talking about or give me reference where you've already discussed.

Did you offer an apology for the misunderstanding? No. You and Zid are apparently allowed to discuss the bible in your 'signposting' thread, but Nancy and I are not allowed to respond?
I was content to stay away, following your wish for your thread, until you prodded N.Drew once again. Like she has to report to you. So I went back and re-read, and saw the above things I mentioned. I don't understand why you would prod her at all, if you don't want this to be a 'debate' thread, and only a signage thread.
