Thanks Flipper for posting this, I haven't got hold of a copy of the book yet, but it may well be just as powerful as Hassan'sbooks, in that a JW reading it cannot take the line that it is "anti-JW".

Once I have read it I will find ways of using it.

DESIGNS- Interesting article you bring out about the Mormon women. Thanks for referring to it. You asked if JW women would be " brave enough to formally approach the leadership and demand more say in policy , and would a leader of that protest yield to elders counsel so easily ? "

First off - I don't think any JW women would ever dare try demanding more say in policy out of fear instilled into them about " submission " to men and elders in congregations , and if some JW lady DID protest she would be FORCED to yield to JW elders or else get disfellowshipped for alleged " apostasy " or " rebellion " . Kind of how I'd see it going down in a WT scenario.

WANNABFREE- Well, yeah a sister or brother who is attractive may call at a door and start a return visit on someone , then turn it over to a member of the opposite sex - but I wonder how the householder feels about having someone else thrust on them they don't even know ?

INTERESTED ONE- Well, it could be that some members get set up by the opposite sex to get called on, yes. I remember an old man who was a return visit of my mom's and had a crush on my JW mom when she was about 50 yrs.old and he even tried to make a move on her and kiss her ( he was 85 yrs.old ) she turned the return visit over to my dad. LOL !

PHIZZY- The book is pretty good, has some great points in it- but personally I like Steve Hassan's books better. My wife and I are halfway through this book , don't get me wrong, it's good - but the authors have a problem with using certain words like " mind control " , they prefer " thought reform " - whatever, it's still mind control they are talking about. I think mind control more aptly describes what happens to cult members.
