I had a theory about Matthew 24:20. It meant pray that the world NOT enter a "great tribulation".
20 “But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.
What I believe it means is if the escape happens in "winter" or Sabbath THEN the tribulation will be great. I believe the terror was something to be avoided by many generations of PRAYER.
Maybe it worked!
I know it has not worked for many people who suffer now. I keep telling people that there are members of humanity that suffer their own "great tribulation" now, this very day, for real.
Christians are suppose to be in expectation of Love, not destruction.
