Hey this is the same organization that came out against a board game,chess. So,why wouldn't they hate the internet. But,I cyberstalk too and I see all the Witnesses from my circuit on there,not too many elders,but their wives.
And I have reconnected with disfellowshipped friends. Plus,I learned so much about the history of the religion that I never knew before. Yeah,the internet was the catalyst to get me out. Although,I had doubts for years.

calculator? really? how was that evil?
There was a wide spread belief in the early to mid 70's that pocket calculators would destroy the basic math skills of children. In retrospect, they turned out to be a mixed blessing like every other piece of technology that takes the drudgery out of mundane tasks.
