I decided to post my own worst date story.
It all started with meeting a woman through a personals ad on one of the Internet dating sites, like Yahoo. In time, we got a pretty good series of conversations both by email and phone going and she invited me to come up during the weekend to see her about a month later. She lived about 7 hours away by car, but I figured it would be worth it to spend a weekend with her.
Well when I met her, she didn't look anything like her pictures. In fact the pictures she sent me were actually taken about 17 years earlier and she neglected to tell me she had gained an extra 200 lbs since then! Anyway, still in a bit of a daze, I accepted her offer to come inside and I sat down on the couch while she went to fix a drink.
I kept hearing cats desperately "meow" and I told her that the cat needed out and it must have gotten locked in a bedroom. She said no, that they were doing time and couldn't come out now.
I asked her what she meant by that and she said they were in prison! I told her I didn't understand. She then related how about 7 months ago they knocked over one of her favorite jars and busted it so she gave them a year in prison. She went on to say that the prison was the extra bathroom that they shared and they were never allowed out of there!
I told her, that cats don't have the reasoning powers that dogs do and can't learn from an experience such as that. She said they were her cats and they were not being mistreated and only being disciplined.
She then told me that she had our entire weekend planned out and handed me a schedule that started at 6:30 AM. I told her that I wouldn't get out of bed at 6:30 AM for God himself as I don't get up before 9 AM. At that point, I got up and walked out the door.
Damn strange woman. Every time I hear a cat crying now I think about her.
