Do you know of judicial committee cases about a bro/sis who denies to have sex with the confessing one?

Hi people, this is my first post here. Nite for everybody. I wanna know if you ever heard of judicial committee where an accused bro/sis denies to have sex with a confessing bro/sis. In the case there is only one witness, the confessing one. I'm talking about two adults. What is supposed to happen? What if the confessing one was engaged or boy/girlfriend of the accused? Does his/her witnessing have more weight?

If somebody confesses there is no need for other witnesses.

If the other party denies it, its possible one would be disciplined and the other would get off. In practice its highly unlikely anybody could keep up the pretense for long if they were faced with the testimony of their partner.

I have personal knowledge of one case in northern MS about 20 years ago. A young single sister confessed to an affair with a married brother. He denied it vehemently. She was disfellowshipped on the basis that it had continued for some time and she either was guilty as claimed or was a liar trying to cause someone else problems. Either way, she deserved to be disfellowshipped (according to them). Nothing happened to the brother at the time because there was no "proof." Later, it turned out he was having yet another affair, but this time there was proof. His wife divorced him, but he was disfellowshipped. I don't know if he ever confessed to the original affair.

I am long gone from there (and the Truth®), so I don't know whatever became of him. The young sister finally figured out everything she had been taught and believed all her life was a lie and she just left. Good for her!

Well,I know of a case years ago, where a sister claimed another Witness raped her. He was disfellowshipped. She admitted later that it was consensual.

Thanks! I think it is a very uncommon case.

Empty: was this sister put under restrictions before admit? Eventually DF after?

Cofty: why do you think that " its highly unlikely anybody could keep up the pretense for long if they were faced with the testimony of their partner."?

Under: thank you. Maybe there are some more known cases like this.

I really don't know, it happened so long ago. But,she was inactive for a long time. And years later ,he got reinstated. He married another Witness.

not uncommon really. If one is an elder the "boys" do have a tendency to believe him. They will df the sister for either adultery/fornication and or lying. Nothing ever changes in the Borg. Women usually get the shaft unless you are the daughter/wife of a well respected/ liked elder.

You implied in your OP that the two individuals were in a relationship. Unless they had had an acrimonious split it is very unlikely the one who is denying it would effectively go on calling their partner a liar in front of a judicial committee.

If they had split up and if they were from different congregaations and were tried by separate JCs then it is possible.

I read one time Awakened at Gilead was on the committee for one brother who denied having sex with a confessing JW sister. She got df'd by another committee, but he did not get df'd, they just let him off the hook since he denied having sex with her.

Married men often lie about flings, affairs . If he's an elder with any clout he can probably get away with it( unless her daddy is a respected elder). If she is having to confess it might also mean she has tried to get him to leave his wife and he won't. Recall "Fatal Attraction" when Michael Douglas told Alex" you knew the rules!". yeah but she did not like them.
