Do you know of judicial committee cases about a bro/sis who denies to have sex with the confessing one?

It is a long time ago, but I seem to remember at Gilead school or some other instruction class the instructions were that if one party confessed or ut becane known, then that person was reprimanded with disfellowshiping or probation. If the second person denied it no action was taken because there was not two witnesses.

Why did you deny the fact if you would write a DA letter? I think the reason to deny is to split up with the girlfriend!

Why not deny it? He doesn't have to recognize their authority, nor is he obligated to confess to them. There are many more reasons to deny things than girlfriend issues.

Thanks belbab, donutz again and NC. I didn't mean to give offence. I'm still in search for more JC cases like that. I would like to build a good precedent repertoire to give my bro.

I think he should deny it, maybe he'll be marked in the local needs talk or something, I doubt the elders will let him walk free

It's unfortunate for the sisters. Unless their daddy is an elder, any confession is a certain df moment for them. I was in a congregation where the family I married into got into some weird scenarios. You'd think they were a bunch of hampsters in a box. Who's doing who? The prominent family got out of it intact. Others were df'd.

Donutz, I doubt too, but without two witnesses what can they do? I think even a talk or a mark cannot occur, or am I wrong?

Not a real case, but at an elders school many years back the instructor threw this out to the audience as a hypothetical :

Sister confesses to elders that a bro visited her house, they got chatting and he came in , had drinks and they fornicated.......

The bro. denies it, saying that he just delivered her K/Ministry, spoke on the doorstep and left..

    What should the elders do?

The answer was the principle that "love believes all things". So, we should treat her as a confessed fornicator and proceed accordingly. We should believe him also, in the absence of any witnesses or evidence, and leave him alone....
