It is a roundup. Witlesses are supposed to be there, on the most sacred evening of the whole year. They get ensnared to attending just that once. And, once they are at the Kingdumb Hell, the hounders are ready to pounce on them to return to going to all the boasting sessions and out in field circus. Plus, it wastes their evening and forces them to reject Jesus while still performing a ritual.

Hey yknot, I think you're forgetting that if you play your cards right, whoever provided the wine might invite you over to share the last 1/3 of a bottle that's left. Woo-Hoo!!! Good times!!
I remember one year when helping to clean up, the guy who brought the wine wanted to pour the wine from the glasses back into the bottle since there were no partakers. After reminding him that over 100 mouths and noses had just come in close proximity to it, he decided to dump it down the sink.
