  Good, less reading for those who want to read such material. They emphasize to be brief at the doors, now they can advertise that the magazines are now with fewer pages and is brief. The householder certainly has the time now to read these condensed magazines.

  I really would like to know the rationale about having to make an announcement about an announcement about down-sized publications???? Why not just send them out when the time comes. Any other magazine doesn't give out notice that they are adopting a new format...they just go ahead and do it! And what is the big deal anyway....the writer's running out of dopey rehashes? Running low on ways to capture vulnerable minds? Strange strange corporate dealings.

  It all makes perfect sense - from a corporate perspective. Cut expenses, rely on the internet more.

  But for loyal JWs, the WTS is not a corporation. It is God's Organization, essentially equivalent to Jehovah himself.

  In the subconscious of many many JWs, the question will be "Why is Jehovah printing less? Isn't the work supposed to speed up? Why are we getting less spiritual food?"

  The bit about "most people get their info from the internet" won't even register, especially for JWs 50+, their most loyal core.

  The WTBTS makes a hullabaloo over every little change as if THAT particular change is further proof of:

  • God's blessings
  • The End coming SOON
  • They really, really are God's Visible Organization
  • More stuff like that

  Then all the sheeples obediently Oooh and Aaah in admiration.

  it reminds me of one brother, who would insist on going to the latest mag for every problem in his life, and he always found that right answer. It was like an assembly part, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.......

  My Dad was like that and if the answer wasn't in the magazines he had to write the WT to find out what he should do in his personal life

  No, no, no... they were close to the end, but now, they're REAL close to the end. There's a difference. It's kinda like 'new light'.

  The magazines will progressively get smaller and smaller - so that they won't have to carry that much literature with them as they go through the big A into the new system.

  Of course, only those that are meek and have 'gods holy spirit' will be able to see and understand this. <insert eye roll>
