It is another of their scare tactics ... SADLY a lot of inactive JWs still hold onto the Watchtower beliefs about "Armageddon" they and active JWs will think the end is "days" away AGAIN ...
Pig I'm with you completely, sadly we can only kick ourselves when we look back at the very large hints (1995 generation change being a good one) that it was just another cult. We didnt see it clearly enough at the time to see thru it then, because we weren't mentally ready... sad but true.
The changes now over the last few years pass the majority by too and most dont even flinch, just like most of us didnt in 1995.
