Are Your Morals The Same As When You Were A Witness?

Helpful hint to guys who've recently left. When you're in bed and about to climax before it's time, visualize God and Jesus looking down on you with disapproval. You'll last 30 seconds more.

Other than that bit of advice, yeah my morals are about the same. But nearly every decision I make, I still have to consciously take off the JW-colored glasses that guide my reflexive decision-making process and ponder what decision I should make with what I know now.

Back then, I judged people based on piousness. People that were in the world were rubbish, and those who pious-sneered or were hounders and higher were "good". I can remember one co-worker that used the Ouija board, got harassed by some angels (called a witch and damaged tires, and then blamed poor Satan), and was scared away from the very demons that could have helped out. I was at that time an active witless, and viewed that as a mistake on their part.

These days, I don't judge people based on how pious they are in religion. Those who are very religious in right-hand path religions are deluded. But, I believe that it is wrong to enslave people, to torture them, to pull scams and teach them that harmless acts are in fact wrong, and to use religion to bust up families. As for the Ouija board, I now view the person using it as completely in the clear and right, and the angels that did that rubbish as the real villains for coercing people to lose their real spirituality.

I think my morals are even better. I am more responsible for my own actions than before.

I was either trying to live up to impossible and insane standards of silly stuff ignoring the bigger stuff (mostly don't get caught), or I was the other extreme and doing it all, because it looks like I am one of those Jehovah doesn't want (cuz I couldn't believe 100%, so something obviously wrong with me *facepalm*)

Now that I am taking responsibility for my own conscience, I find doing the right thing, so much easier to do.
