I'm not a camper. I don't see the point in pretending you are homeless

I absolutely LOVE camping. I love everything about it (except lack of bathroom facilities, which is a big deal, i know). I think the flow of being in nature 24/7 has got to be one of the healthiest experiences there is. Camping gets you out of yourself and lets you just be. And I love watching children explore and be free while out in nature too. The night sky cannot be beat.

Thank you WHA HAPPENED!!! I don't get the camping thing at all either. Give me a nice luxury hotel room with jacuzzi spa any day. The only real reason to camp is if you are in a place so remote and desolate (read:natural beauty) that there isn't anywhere else to lay your head.

Or, of course, Flipper's annual event. That would be worth it to me!

WHA HAPPENED - I know what you mean. Camping isn't for everyone. That's why when we have the Tahoefest each year we invite people to either get motel /hotel accommodations OR to set up camp at the campground. And that way everybody is accommodated and happy. Hope some of you can come this year to Tahoe ! ( shameless plug I know, sorry . ) There will be great outdoor cookin' ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

My son went camping with the cubs in the rain. When he came home I asked him if he had enjoyed it he said no it was ok but now he had the badge he didn't see the need to go again. I hate to break it to him that camping is what the scouts are all about.

Caming is only really good if you are in the middle of nowhere with all your buddies, a huge campfire, and plenty of beer. If it's not like that, it's not worth it....
