I'm from Boston....
Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood .........
And His 60's Trilogy from Fist full of Dollars to Good Bad And Ugly.............
Another Great One Open Range....Kevin Costner ...(AWSOME)
Oh my goodness, my most favourite cowboy film?
I love them, so many...
Almost anything James Stewart. Shane. Several John Wayne.
I like a lot of the 1950's Randolph Scott and Audie Murphy.
And I have a mystery. In the 1950's and maybe early '60's, there was a series of films about the Texas Rangers. I remember little more than that except that there was one man in particular who was the hero. Most of the others wore a black hat but he wore a white one.
Not a lot to go on I know but if anyone can throw further light it would be fantastic!
Basically, I am a sucker for any western film.
I am also a great fan of Louis L'Amour western books. Anyone else?
I still haven't seen the new True Grit...............
Because of John W...... LOL
I hear I'm missing something........... I know But How can you remake a FU****G JOHN WAYNE FILM!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite cowboy movie is "Dances With Wolves", especially the four hour version.
I named a dog Sisko after the horse in the movie and a cat Two Socks after the wolf in "Dances With Wolves". Next month Two Socks will be 23 years old. Sisko, being a rottie only lived to 14 years of age.

Yes, Dances With Wolves is very good.
Shenandoah is one of my fvourites. The Kentuckian is another, with Burt Lancaster.
As a child, I loved Champion the Wonder Horse
The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
The Wild Bunch
Once Upon a Time in the West
The last 15 minutes of The Unforgiven beats any other western, hands down.
