The humor in the movie was quite deadpan... my favorite kind. Joss Whedon, who directed, also did Firefly and Serenity, and both have the same kind of humor.

Oh absolutly! That and a few others made me smile :-) i liked that it didnt try to be too serious or dark. Even the scene where thor and hulk bring down a large monster together, pause, and hulk smacks thor in "still not best buddies" reminder was cute... Very nicly done movie overall, and i was worried it was going to be a disaster frankly

I loved that Hulk part! Makes me grin just thinking about it. As well, the Hulk and Loki part... the entire theater was just cracking up through the movie :)

I don't know if I told you this on one of your other dedication threads, lol... but I was asking the hubbie if he still wanted to go see "Thor" (because we didn't get in on opening weekend). And he was excited about the movie, and wanted to see it. He glanced at me, and said no, he didn't want to see that movie. But just the weekned before, he had been all for it. So I stood there, waiting for something to sink in and figure him out, because it made no sense. That and he had a little smirk on his face. Then he says to me, "I believe what you just did could be called a Freudian slip". I thought about that for a second, then laughed, and said, "I meant, do you still want to go see the 'Avengers' this weekend?"

I am unabashed loz!!!!! I worship the odin son proudly! Its not a slide into idolotry, its a carefully calculated move to the worship of the thunderer! Theres room for you too ;-)

I loved that part too tammy! I went with my brother and a large group of friends and well were lol'ing and dying to "rewind" that scene :-P i expected a punch or something not the over the top thrashing :-) really enjoyed overall the whole movie!

As for you my dear cedars.... For as many times as you have clicked on this thread i assume your seat in valhalla is reserved. Embrace it. Thor loves you ;-)

Happy Thor Thursday...I was thinking those hollywood haters really didn't give Thor the best showing in the new Avengers movie, they let that wannabe Ironman, take all the glory. Honestly Thor vs Ironman in a real deathmatch who wins?
