Yes I suspected as much too...being a mighty god and all, you have to condescend once and while, hang out with the people, and let them know that you're really there.
.
It can't be idolatry, Loz! No statues of any sort.
Just the true god Thor...and what a god!...the thuinder and lightning and his hammer!
Plus his preference for a friendly, non-judgemental relationship with his followers, and what more could you ask?
ElderE, these Thor threads are fast becoming my favourites, sheer pleasure and no sweat!
Today I got extravagant. There. in Tesco's, was the DVD of Thor. It went straight into the trolley, and I look forward to watching it over the weekend!
Oh! I nearly forgot! Happy Thor's Day, everyone!
Good for you charlinko!!! Not the greatest marvel movie, but the greatest hero for sure As much as i think helmsworth fits the bill for thor, captain america was great too, as was downy playing tony stark. The casting was really good for all.... Even the new hulk worked out
As Thor's Day has evidently overlapped with today, the day that observed the ending of the previous day, I thank you for your well wishes. I've had to settle for simply watching 'Thor' again, as I cannot afford to/don't have time to go see 'The Avengers'. On a day like this, I need a Frostgiant to dip a finger into my coffee cup and then I can have instant iced coffee. Also, Natalie Portman was in 'Thor', which makes it cooler than 'The Avengers' by default. Evidently.
Notice, too, that Thor was exiled from a heavenly realm. Is this not remarkably similar to the demons who forsook their proper dwelling place and were drawn to attractive women, as Thor was to Jane Foster? Those who choose to view such material are, in effect, inviting the demons into their homes. What a deadly decision that would be!
