Thor's day again!
I've been looking forward to it, ElderE! I thought I'd beat you to it again this week, but look! You were way ahead of me and got there first and I'm rather glad.
Good old Thor! I've just posted a very serious post in another thread, one that really made me think about what faith is and my own faith in particular. ElderE, I suspect you started posting about Thor in a spirit mainly of fun, and also maybe as a rude gesture to the organisation in which you are temporarily stuck. but there's a lot more to it.
Thor makes me happy. I was so pleased to discover that modern day real life Thor worshippers do so out of a love of nature, that worship of Thor is far older than any revelation by the "desert god", and also that Thor considers his followers as his friends and treats them as such.
What's a roll of thunder or two to a friend of Thor?
Yes, I promised extra titbits in praise of Thor on his very own day and they're on their way, but it might not be for a good few hours as I too have a lot to see to first.
Including, joy of joys, thank you Thor!, a birthday celebration to attend to! and I couldn't have said or allowed myself to think that only 5 months ago! No, don't get excited, it's not mine!
