SS, interesting thread and food for thought. I reason this way. Say a planet has all the ingredients to sustain life, an atmosphere, a moderate climate, lots of water, fertile soil, rich in all kinds of minerals, etc. All the best scientists on earth are invited to go there. Their spaceship has the best that technology has to offer. They are invited to do terra forming with only one precondition. They have to start from scratch. They are allowed to take with them all the elements of the periodic table. They have to create organic matter from inorganic matter. Then they have incorporate organic matter into living systems which would be able to reproduce successfully. They can start with microoganisms and plants. Then they can advance to more complex animals.

At this stage such a mission would be impossible, even if they had a million years at their disposal. The scientists would rather take with them existing plants and animals, tried and tested systems, and turn these into successful ecosystems. So, modern science has serious limitations. Perhaps advances would bring them to a point where they can attempt such a mission, but at this stage it lies in the realm of science fiction. When mankind have reached that point, they can jettison religion. They have become "gods." But not before then.

    God is the answer.

Wait...how do I explain the origin of God coming from nothing?

    I am screwed!

You are not interested in a discussion - people on here have repeatedly stated that NO ONE has any evidence.

Yet you keep stamping your feet like a petulant child demanding the ocean go back out at your command. Wake up - no one here reports to you.

If you want a reasonable conversation vs silly demands feel free to behave accordingly. Until such time we will just continue to be amused by your immaturity and arrogance.

Silly argument. You laid out a challenge---send scientists to a planet with all the right ingredients. And then, instead of letting them carry out that challenge, you have decided the mission would be impossible! You have decided what the scientists would rather do---take existing plants and animals. That is especially silly, because if they were looking for answers, they would NOT rather seed the planted with tested species. They would be on the search for answers---unlike you who would simply jump over all the fun stuff and declare the declare the answers without the search. lazy, lazy.

Since spirits and gods were derived from human ignorance of the world we live long ago, human ignorance is a known and accepted fact.

The question of god or science depends where you want to exercise your rational logic.

Since science is really not empowering for men and its quite a bit harder to cultivate money from it, religion

is a viable vehicle that can create that sought after power and money.

NewChapter, I viewed it from a survivalist point-of-view. Rather not waste time in trying to create a new form of life in order to survive. You will use what you know and what you have, hypothetically, of course.

Simple answer, please! Scientifically explain the origin of life coming from nothing!

We don't yet have a verifiable scientific answer, although we have competing theories, some with incomplete supporting evidence. I suspect we'll eventually produce the evidence we are seeking.

A good starting point on the subject is Alexander Oparin's "The Origin of Life."
