YoYo,
Fact: the WTS already has a ton of their publications in a database. I know. I have their CD-ROM.
Fact: it is a rather trivial matter for a programmer to parse one or a million records to find matches for an entered string
Fact: it is hardly any more difficult to do this on a web site than it is on a desktop, and they've already been doing it for years with their desktop CD ROM.
Fact: once the very basic code is written, no more programming is needed for an application to find "JWs in Spiritual Paradise" than it is to find "The Man in the Moon."
Fact: since the Society's search engine isn't finding matches for quotes and topics we KNOW exist in the publications, they have made their search criteria selective and not universal.
Fact: I'm a professional programmer with 20 years experience and know what I'm talking about.
Therefore: they are dishonest and deceptive and are trying to hide information in their publications which is embarrassing and even damning.
But anyone with half-a-brain already knows that.
