I know some Witnesses who deny this happens in the organization. When we still had the book study,my friend went to this elder's house for the study. After the Dateline episode aired,he said that never happened. But,my friend had been molested by a Witness,who molested at least 40 children that we know of,and recently reinstated. I wonder if his new congregation knows of his history.
But,so many Witnesses are so naive. They don't know the policies of the organization. They can say the victim and her parents could have went to the police on their own. But,the victim wouldn't have been abused if the congregation knew of this man's sick inclinations. But,I'm sure the elders didn't allow their kids around him,that's all that mattered to them.

NOw what elder now is not shaking in his pants who handled a judicial matter regarding pedophilia. Good chance that a vicitm can turn around and challnge them in court as to why they kept it confidential and non-reporting to the authorities. imagine any commitee in the last 10 years, subject to review. Even if they aren't serving now, the liability remains
