As someone who was cut at age 24, I can confirm that the loss of sensitivity is quite dramatic. By comparrison, sex is almost not worth the effort since then.

I agree with the new consensus on the idea but all the women in my day said they preferred circumcision

Speaking as a woman . . . there is nothing more sexy than watching an uncircumcized penis lengthen and emerge from the folds of its foreskin. I liken it to watching a striptease act.
Speaking as a mother . . . if you teach your boys to clean themselves properly, there shouldn't be any issues with infection, etc. The body naturally secretes fluids (just like from women) and if you maintain the environment, everything works properly.

botchtowersociety: thats really interesting, maybe it is a climate thing, but there are many doctors that disagree with you, maybe not all is known about circumcision. I think its the individuals choice to what ever they want to do with their body and not a God or parents, as Finally-Free and many others that I know its really a bad thing.

Joey - No, you can't substitute the natural process. If you're circumcised, you don't have the foreskin to pull back to create the same visual. I meant no disrespect to anyone who IS circumcised. Of course, this is just my personal observation and I like it like that.
Regarding infections, a common arguement given to support circumcision is that it helps prevent infections. My point is, if a penis is cleaned properly and regularly, not being circumcised will not lead to infection. In my personal lifetime, (besides my husband and sons) the only male I've ever spoken to regarding an infection was my brother. I guess it's a lot like teeth - you don't have to clean them, but you shouldn't be surprised if you get cavities if you don't. I always spoke to my sons about the need to clean themselves properly, when they were young, and showed them how. After one of them got older, he stopped cleaning himself properly and got an infection - that was enough motivation to make sure he always paid attention and has been fine ever since.

My ex was not Jewish. His parents were both raised as JWs and not Jewish either, so he was second generation JW. They chose not to have their song circumcised. But H. felt like he was a "freak" with his foreskin intact. So he wanted very badly for J. to be circumcised. J. was four months old and had been through enough pain, medically, so I did not want him circumcised.
Circumcision is obviously something men came up with and blamed on God.
Something to keep in mind, all those engaging in high emotions over this, I've asked some men I know how they feel about being circumcised as babies. All of them are very happy that their parents did this for them. And it is true that many women prefer circumcised men.
I am wondering how many of you, who are freaking out about baby boys being circumcized, have had your baby girls' ears pierced. How many of you have tattoos and ears or other things pierced?
How many of you grown men, who are circumcised are sorry that you are? How many of you that aren't wish you were? And how many of you who are circumcised from infancy enjoy sex incredibly much? Do you think you are not sensitive enough?
