mylaine - Lets use me as an example. I not only don't believe in your god I have contempt for him. I completely understand the gospel, I preached it from a Baptist pulpit for a number of years. Now I think the whole gospel story is a disgusing tale of an angry god who had his wrath appeased by the sight of a human blood sacrifice.

You believe that makes me an enemy of the god you adore and a servant of Satan. You are convinced your god will keep me alive for eternity so he can torment me horribly.

How can your claims to love me be genuine?

Jesus Christ is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (rev. 13:7-8). satans attempt at a counterfeit since then is portrayed in the book of genesis...3:15.

I dream of the day when stories of hellfire cease to paralyze people with fear and to torment them. When they can express their true selves and not make more anxiety in their everday life. When such tales are relegated to where they belong: along side the boogie man and around nighttime campfires, with other ghost tales.

I dream of the day when humans will understand how wrong and inappropriate it is to try to convince strangers that they will burn for an eternity at the hands of an angry god that loves them. I think it will make us better people. More authentic. More capable of understanding love. We will release our twisted understanding of love (I LOVE you, but will celebrate as you burn and burn for an eternity--I will stoke the flames even).

Superstition is so tragic. It robs us of so much joy. I twists our interpersonal relationships into such beastly things. Of course a woman can believe her violent husband really loves her---if that is the kind of god she worships. I have a lot of emotions---anger, contempt, discomfort, but mostly sadness. It saddens me to no end to see people that are caught in the grips of these horrible beliefs. It saddens me even more when they have convinced themselves it is happy news. It is so twisted.

Belief of hellfire led me into the arms of the cult. Belief of hellfire was one of the most destructive forces in my life. Had the Baptists and Pentacostals never encouraged this twisted thinking, I never would have been a JW.

But there's a big problem to this imposed statement, which comes from where did the evils come from, such as when the so called Christain hierarchy

Sigh..... Aside from my personal desire to watch a proxy discussion between jeshua whotyacallum and myleain's jesus, you all missing a very obvious point. Myelain said the following:
