    Mr Woods
I thought is was a Testarossa.
Now here is a real travisty.

Oh, the humanity. We are not amused.

They renamed the Testarossa as 512TR in later years. Note the wheels.

Honestly this is really funny to hear all of you who support the right to democratic self rule in the Falklands and then support a monarch. Your monarch was not elected, and she is not that special.

She is the same bitch who expects other forigen leaders to bow to her. How in the world is that democratic? OUR democraticly elected head of state is not on the same level as your head of state because she was BORN into it? B ollocks.

The monarchy is an embarrassment. As a country we are not even as mature as the French. What can you say?

Can say nothing more slim, nothing more. That would be my slogan for a republican campaign.

But the French got there by chopping damn near everybody's head clean off. That seems, I don't know, somewhat less than mature to me.

Sulla the French did that 200 years ago, the Brits have a monarchy to this day.

Sulla - not sure whether you are British or not. If not then all I can say is that there is a love/hate relationship between the French and English (and this time it really is the English) hence the humour in slim's comment. However, for the purposes of debate - 40,000 max beheaded in French revolution. 72,000 executed by Henry VIII. Not saying beheading is acceptable of course. There are other much less messy methods of execution.

    Talesin,

I am American. 9/11 traumatized me deeply. I worked and lived nearby. It was devestating. Besides Nazi Occupied Europe, who else but Great Britan would have reason to hate Nazis. The Blitz in Londonl. Paul McCartney decided to throw the mood raising and fund raising concert after September 11th at the Garden b/c his father was a fireman in Liverpool during the war.

A few blocks of the Financial District were totally destroyed. Three thousand people lost their lives that day. Many more are dying from exposure to toxins. Food and water were available. My local police and fire depts. swore that my neighborhood had coverage if a disaster happened further uptown. Modern communications enabled an up and running system withi 1/2 hour of the first plane hitting the Tower.

It was nothing compared to England during the War. I grew up with WWII propaganda films. The British must have had far more exposure. Their economy was almost destroyed.

I have photos of the destruction at the WTC that I took myself. Should I try to post them.

And the American firebombing of Europe caused great pain, too.

One think you are Irish more than you are Canadian.

There are good arguments for abolishing the monarcy. Prince Harry dressing up as a Nazi showed poor judgment. Did you not ever do something incredibly stupid in your life? He has not repeated the incident. Harry is not the heir. One person should not determine an institution -- unless that person remained king.
