What have I've learned is being honest within your own personal integrity while being presented with things from
all people, for they may not be honest or they may be ignorant themselves.
Critical thinking is paramount in supporting your own inner personal integrity.
Real ale must be served at the right temperature. Not warm, yet not chilled.
The staff at my local pub are expert at looking after their ales.
It is to me a church and as close to heaven as I'll ever be.
Reading this thread makes really sad...because it makes me think back to the era where my family became JWs. We were particularly close to some of our family members, but we lost all those ties, since we gave them the "choice" to either join us or not associate with us anymore. Many friends lost too, except for those that still contact us (true friends). It's embarassing for me, but I feel like going back to every single person that I myself was particularly close to and saying "I'M SORRY" and giving them a big hug and a gift.
Then the sadness turns into hatred for the cult that I've ended up in.
ATTENTION The Gladiator, I am a real ale fanatic, please P.M me the name and location of your heavenly Pub, I shall visit one day and simply wonder who "The Gladiator" is, is it that guy falling off his bar stool because he has had a sufficiency ? or is it the guy slowly downing a pint with a beatific look upon his face ?
And you will wonder, is that fat old fart ordering himself two pints to start with really Phizzy ?
As to what I have learned about life, it is that the Universe is truly random, and therefore the Universe, Life and Everything can be summed up in two words:
SHIT HAPPENS !!!
That the more I learn about life the less I know.
Apart from that, the closing song in Monty Pythons "The Life of Brian" kinda sums it up.
No situation is bad enough that it can't be reversed...there is always hope.

When you consider what we paid to get on this ride, we've got nothing to complain about.
I have learned that the more i know the less i know. Everything is adeception and a counterfeit . God is real Jesus is real the Holy SPirit is real. He does not dwell in buildings or organisations. THe true churhc does not exist on earth. It is spiritual and cannot be seen or touched. THe true worshippers worship in SPirit and truth. Jesus is the only way and truth. You cannot earn or work for your reward.God himself will lead us into the way we should go. Jesus himself tells us when we pray go into our private room and pray . He is serving as the high priest in heaven waiting to plea on our behalf. We go to him.
