ok so maybe i misinterpreted. here's what it says:
57. dring 1986 or 1987, linda vista had grown large enogh that it could divide into two distinct congregations. at that time, la jolla spanish congregation, which went on to become playa pacifica came into existence.
58. linda vista was the "parent congregation" of la jolla. this means that the complete membership originall comprising la jolla were former members of linda vista

both facts were undispted. i assumed those two points mean that linda vista split into linda vista and la jolla. eventually la jolla changed it's name to playa pacifica so that it became linda vista and playa pacifica.
i cold have definitely gotten it wrong and my apologies if i did.

Ummmm, I'm still skeptical. La Jolla is a MUCH older and more established neighborhood than Linda Vista. If anything was possible, Linda Vista would have split from La Jolla and not vice versa. However, comma, with regards to the Spanish Congregations, anything is possible, I suppose. I doubt there are many Spanish congregations in La Jolla though;hispanics who cannot speak English probably don't live in La Jolla. They just clean the houses and pools there and return to their homes by bus to Linda Vista.
A few La Jolla neighborhoods put Beverly Hills to shame. Linda Vista is one step above "Sanford and Sons".
Nonetheless, I'm sure the documents my good friend Barb provided are genuine. She rarely makes a mistake when it comes to her research.

yea, i think that's the distinction. i thought it was weird at first too, then saw spanish and assumed away without thinking. that's my bad.
the paperwork was just the court documents, they are what they are.

For the most part - The rats in their cages are unaware of what happens in the real world. They are trapped in a matrix controlled by the watchtower and elder "agents".
The good news is - more and more JWS are stumbling upon information from the Internet and are getting curious, and mustering up courage to have a look at information not filtered by the WT.
Knowledge will lead to freedom.

If anything, It wasn't the documents but the Watchtower lawyers and elders provided misleading information to the victims' lawyers and the court. They were lied by the Watchtower lawyers and elders on many things.(I am speaking this from first-hand information).
Rather be in hades, you've made a very insightful point on page 2 on Watchtower's object. With solid evidence, the Watchtower couldn't deny any charges that had been made toward it and its' members. The Organization has been trying to get out of their responsible relationship to their members. This is especially the case if offender is Rank & File. That's why Candace Conti's case was detrimental to the Watchtower Organization. It sounds like Kendrick(molester of Conti) was a R & F if anything. Other words, Conti's case set the precedent that the Watchtower is responsible for the action of not only elders and servants but also Rank & File as well. Rembember what the Watchtower lawyer said on the jury verdict that the Organization can't be responsible for what Rank & File do. Well, turned out, the normal citizens don't care about the status of offender, elder or not. The people(the 12 jury) spoke clear and loud.

What do you think about the following comment made by Defense Attorney McCabe i n his closing arguments of the Conti trial. Note McCabe's words as found in the transcript - Jury Trial Day 7, June 11, 2012, pdf, page 172, line 20, in light of the fact that in the Zalkin case it took almost two years of legal wrangling to get the WT to even offer to settle out-of-court with the victims, most of them molested when the perpetrator was an elder?
"Now, I'm not saying this to shirk responsibility. If Mr. Kendrick had been an elder, I wouldn't be here defending the congregation, I would advise them to settle this case, pay, whatever they want."
(The Zalkin case was settled a few weeks before the Conti $28M jury award. One can only wonder if the Plaintiffs would not have settled had the Conti jury award happened first.)
