The fact of the matter is, you have hurt their dignity and reputation in "the truth." They can no longer boast about you being a good JW to their friends and fellow JWs. By leaving, you have disgraced them. This is what it is all about. This organisation is more important than you own flesh and blood grandson. So glad you are out and will not be treating your children and grandchildren in this disgusting manner.
Email from my grandmother yesterday.

Wow you work for her. YIKES I have to agree with a lot of advise you have received. I would consult an attorney and not just any attorney. Get an estate attorney with a proven track record. If you are in anyway bullied or mistreated in the work place you have grounds for a suit. Ask yourself this question however. Is my job/salary and the inheritance worth the brain damage. She is holding her money both now and after she dies as ransom. Although I do not work for my father he is worth a lot and as of now I am in the will. I am not DFed nor have I DAed myself. I fly way under the radar to keep that $ in sight. If he were to decided to cut me off I will tie up things so long that "Armagedon" will be here and gone before any $ is distribued.

I'm sorry about that letter and how they are treating you.
Your grandma (and all others who put the interests of the org above anything and anyone else) worships an idol.
Oh, policies of our idol allow innocent children to become victims to the pedophiles that our idol protects? Well, Jehovah will make all those nasty children go away, and our idol will still be shiny. And all those people (like you) who don't worship our idol, and actually care about those inconveniences (victims) dirtying up our idol (revealing the disgusting things within)... well, you... you... you SMOKE!
I would talk to an attorny about your career remaining safe. I would also save her e-mail, as proof sometime down the road, if she does attempt to pull that card as well as the disinheritance card... that you are being discriminated against based on religious reasons.
Millions of people don't have an inheritence to look forward to and they all survive just fine. I would e-mail that back to her. But I would talk to a lawyer about protecting yourself in your livelihood first.
Peace to you,
tammy

If she fires you, that would be grounds for a lawsuit for religious discrimination.

I am sorry they are blackmailing you. It would be good if you quit smoking on your own terms, maybe eventually your grandma might give you little bit more money in her will without or with you knowing it. You could say to your Grandma I am sorry if I am causing you distress, she is old and I do not think she will turn apostate in her old age anyway. One "fruit" of repentance is quitting smoking. It would be good for your physical health and financial health too. Shave your goatee off only if you are willing to do it. If I was you, I would not attend the meetings again. It will make me sick if I am forced back attending the meetings. Each to their own. Just be more respectful to Grandma.

I have seen some advices here about getting an attorney. That is up to you. Just do not get stressed out.

Sorry you are going through this.
This situation really typifies what the WTS is about...

I am not streesed out, my Mom and Uncle also own part of the family business, and they would both protect my job. It just sucks to hear this from grandma.
The funny thing about the smoking, is that I did quit for a few months and that is when she found out that I did smoke.

It's very hard to let JW relatives diss you for not going to the KH, but if they are in the majority, you will never win.You are asking them to stop believing they can cheat death and go into the new order and live forever- you are asking them to admit they are just like everyone else- they will get old, need to retire- hope they have enough money to live on, get sick and then die- just like everyone before them . It's not easy for Jws to give that hope up. JWs want think they are special- they won't die- but you will. Sunk cost fallacy makes believe that every day gets them closer to the promised new order.
Converting to Judasim made it easy for me to talk to JWs, as they knew I wasn't trying to convert them. I could make them look stupid and they just have to take it. Even if all my relatives were JWs, I wouldn't try to get them to quit their KH- However, I would explain to them the Rabbis teachings on blood transfusions and why they have nothing to do with eating blood. JWs can't ague with me when they realize they have never studied the reasons why Jews accept blood transfusions.-ie, they have never even read the Jewish position of blood in any WT publication, so they have absolutely no abillity to go toe2toe with me. I ask them, "will a blood transfusion save the life of a starving man?", and I can tell from their scowling face that they know they have been trapped- They can't criticize my religion- that would make them an anti-semite. I always win.
